The season lets go. The painting keeps a few things.
Green leaves reach across blue while yellow, orange, and red gather in patterned fragments. Small flowers and curling lines run along the lower edge. It is not one uninterrupted garden, but a gathering of the things that make us stop in one.
Part of the Fall collection, this work follows the same attention to Chicago’s changing leaves and collected flowers as its companion painting. Printed papers, developed through the gel-plate process and brought onto the canvas, let the season change its arrangement. Leaf meets geometry; a little blossom interrupts a broad field of color. What disappears outside is allowed another kind of life here.
About the artist
Satish Prabhu brings travel, reading, and everyday encounters into a practice of reconstruction. Figures, interiors, and familiar objects become ways to explore memory, belonging, and the distance between people. This is an original, artist-created work, not an AI-generated image.
