About This Show

This exhibition is a homecoming — a return to Oak Park, to friends, to family, and to the community that

has supported my work for years. I am traveling from Lisbon, Portugal, where I have been living and painting, to share work from the last 18 months — paintings from both my Chicago studio and my Lisbon atelier, shaped by intentional, unhurried travel.

Each painting was born from a moment of stillness in motion — a café in Cairo, a cobblestone alley in Rovinj, a medina in Tangiers, a sun-drenched square in Cascais. These are not postcards. They are conversations with place, with light, with the people who inhabit the world’s most extraordinary corners.

About the Artist

Satish Prabhu is a painter, traveler, and storyteller based between Oak Park, Illinois and Lisbon, Portugal. His work draws from the visual richness of global travel — the geometry of ancient cities, the warmth of human connection, and the interplay of light and color across cultures.
