About the Artist

Vasudha Waman Joshi is a Mumbai-based contemporary artist exploring traditional Indian art forms such as Madhubani, Pichwai, and Warli. She belongs to a thriving new art cohort near the original Bollywood Film City and frequently exhibits her work at Zhunzhunwala Art Gallery.

Her upcoming exhibition is in Chicago at Vigo gallery where she will be co-showing her work with her brother Artist Satish Prabhu.

For Vasudha, art is not only a medium of expression but a way to connect with her late husband, Waman Joshi, an abstract impressionist. Creating art has given her strength through difficult times, as she navigates labor-intensive traditional techniques.

Previously, Vasudha had a 30-year career in banking and finance. Today she dedicates her time to her creative practice and actively supports the local art community.
